Godd afternoon friends,
Not much has been going on here. The last couple of days I have been working in a plant that manufactures wheel bearings for cars. They have removed one of the eighty foot long tempering furnaces, and I had to pull out the fire suppression from the quenching oil pit. This was a couple of days standing ankle deep in evil smelling waste oil working with pipe and tools that were too slippery to hang on to. This furnace was the center of three, so I had to move one system to the other side of the plant to provide suppression for the far furnace while thw center one is being replaced. In a couple of months, the new furnace will be in and i will go back there, stand in ankle deep, evil smelling waste oil for a week or so to integrate all three furnaces into the same suppression system.
And who said this job didn't have perks?

Well, I'll take my day over yours, Brother Pete. Thanks, you've given me a good shot of that universal panacea, perspective!
